Intern, Application Management

Internship role supporting LCH applications with incident resolution, bug fixes, and out-of-hours support. Gain experience in application management, collaborating with business teams and technical experts.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support LCH applications related to Shared Technical Platforms and Clearing Services.
  • Resolve incidents and problems using tools like DataDog, ServiceNow, and email alerts.
  • Apply fixes and enhancements following LCH change management procedures.
  • Coordinate release processes and update documentation accordingly.
  • Provide out-of-hours support including overnight, weekends, and bank holidays.

Technical Skills Required

  • Good understanding of database concepts and SQL.
  • UNIX OS skills; RHCSA certification beneficial.
  • Scripting skills in bash, korn shell, and Python.
  • Experience supporting Java-based distributed platforms.
  • Knowledge of Apache Tomcat and web application testing with Selenium beneficial.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with IT, business teams, and senior management.
  • Experience working in individual and team projects.
  • Exposure to Jenkins, Ansible, and AWS Cloud technologies is advantageous.

Work Environment and Schedule

  • Provide 24x5 application support aligned with UK timings.
  • Frequent out-of-hours support including overnight and weekends.
  • Participate in production activities such as disaster recovery exercises.
  • Collaborate with business teams to build strong business knowledge.
  • Work within ITIL standards and LCH policies.
