Intern, Application Management
Internship role supporting LCH applications in a 24x5 environment, involving incident resolution, bug fixes, and out-of-hours support. Ideal for recent graduates with technical skills in UNIX, SQL, and Java platforms.

Role Responsibilities
- Support LCH applications related to Shared Technical Platforms and Clearing Services.
- Resolve incidents and problems using tools like DataDog, ServiceNow, and email alerts.
- Apply fixes and enhancements following LCH change management procedures.
- Coordinate release processes and update documentation accordingly.
- Provide out-of-hours support including overnight, weekends, and bank holidays.

Technical Skills Required
- Good understanding of database concepts and SQL.
- UNIX OS skills; RHCSA certification beneficial.
- Scripting skills in UNIX shell scripting (bash, korn shell) and Python.
- Experience supporting Java-based distributed platforms.
- Knowledge of Apache Tomcat and web application testing using Selenium beneficial.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with IT, business teams, and senior management.
- Experience working in individual and team projects.
- Exposure to Jenkins, Ansible, and AWS Cloud technologies is advantageous.
- Self-motivated with ability to prioritize workload effectively.

Work Environment and Schedule
- Provide 24x5 application support covering morning, day, and night shifts based on UK timing.
- Out-of-hours support including overnight calls, weekend releases, and disaster recovery exercises.
- Collaborate with business teams to build strong business knowledge during investigations.
- Work following ITIL standards and LCH policies.
