2027 M&A Summer Associate Intern

About the role

Lincoln International seeks MBA candidates for its 2027 M&A Summer Associate Intern program. Interns work closely with senior bankers on M&A transactions, gaining global exposure and hands-on deal execution experience in major US cities.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior bankers and client executives on M&A transactions.
• Perform financial analysis and valuations.
• Conduct industry research and identify potential buyers or acquisition targets.
• Prepare confidential information memoranda and management presentations.
• Support negotiations and assist during due diligence and closing processes.
• Participate in new business meetings and contribute to firm development.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an MBA from a top-tier program, graduating in 2028.
• Strong accounting, finance knowledge, and business acumen.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, assertive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior M&A, capital raising, or investment banking experience preferred but not required.

Work Structure and Locations

• Hybrid work model: in-office Monday to Thursday, optional remote Fridays.
• Positions available in Chicago, New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
• Exposure to international clients through the firm's global platform.

Compensation and Additional Info

• Salary range is $175,000 for roles in Illinois, New York City, and California.
• Eligible for bonus pay.
• No visa sponsorship available for this position.
