M&A Internship (Q3 2027 - Master's Students Only)

About the role

Lincoln International seeks final-year Master’s students for a 3–6-month M&A internship in Frankfurt, Munich or Berlin beginning July 2027. Interns work alongside experienced bankers on transaction execution, research, financial analysis, valuation, due diligence and pitches, with structured onboarding, training and mentoring. Successful interns may receive full-time Analyst offers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market, industry and company research to support M&A transactions and business development.
• Support deal execution and draft teasers, information memorandums and other transaction documentation.
• Perform financial analyses, assist with valuations, identify potential buyers and participate in due diligence.
• Contribute to pitch presentation preparation and meeting preparation for senior bankers.
• Support transaction closing processes and gain exposure to multiple M&A deal situations.

Team and Development

• Work in small deal teams within one or two sector groups alongside experienced and senior bankers.
• Gain exposure to marketing, origination, live projects and transaction execution across varied sectors.
• Receive structured pre-onboarding, onboarding, induction, mentoring, networking and intern pitch competition opportunities.
• Access Wall Street Prep or Training the Street, the Lincoln Learning Platform and Lincoln AI tool.
• Selected successful interns may receive offers to join Lincoln International as full-time Analysts.

Location and Sectors

• Join Lincoln International’s German team in Frankfurt, Munich or Berlin.
• German bankers cover Industrials and Renewables, Consumer, Technology, Business Services, Healthcare and Capital Advisory.
• The team advises on mergers and acquisitions, particularly sell-side transactions for private equity clients.
