About the Internship

• 10-week intensive program with frontline technology teams managing real-time trading environments.
• Work directly with experienced systems and network engineers.
• Gain broad technical and operational knowledge of trading platforms and technology stacks.
• Primary pathway to full-time Technology Operations roles at Jump Trading.
• Focus on systems, networking, and practical DevOps software engineering skills.
• May include additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health and performance of the trading platform proactively.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex system, software, and network issues.
• Design and optimize network infrastructure for low latency trading applications globally.
• Build automation tools to improve production trading environments.
• Coordinate changes and manage incidents with risk management and trading teams.
• Define and document processes and procedures.

Skills Required

• Major in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX OS, advanced commands, and shell scripting.
• Practical knowledge of Python programming.
• Understanding of networking concepts like routing, multicast, and Ethernet.
• Detail-oriented approach to operations and clear communication under pressure.
• Collaborative team player with reliable availability and positive attitude.
