Role Overview
- 10-week intensive software engineering internship in Chicago.
- Work on distributed trading systems and one of the world’s largest supercomputers.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and receive dedicated mentorship.
- Contribute to real-time, large-scale, high-performance trading platform.
- Engage in full-cycle development, testing, and release using Agile.

Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and maintain production software.
- Work on projects involving core trading engine and infrastructure.
- Apply programming and analysis skills to optimize software.
- Participate in daily software deployment in a fast-paced environment.
- Other duties as assigned or needed.

Required Skills
- Proficiency in C++ or Python development on Linux.
- Strong understanding of data structures and threading models.
- Ability to work effectively in a team under fast-paced conditions.
- Passion for solving complex problems and building solutions from scratch.
- Interest in hardware, networking, and OS design for high-performance software.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or job experience in software development.
- Advanced coursework in algorithms, network programming, OS, compilers.
- Experience with AI tools like Claude Code in a work environment.
