Join Jump Trading as a full-time Campus Software Engineer in Chicago, working on cutting-edge trading systems and supercomputers. Develop skills in C++, Python, and software lifecycle in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and maintain distributed trading systems and supercomputers.
• Work alongside experienced engineers to learn advanced C++, Python, SDLC, and test automation.
• Contribute to technology groups focused on market data, order entry, risk management, simulation, or UI development.
• Deploy new software daily in a fast-paced team environment.
• Solve complex problems and build optimal software solutions from scratch.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in C++ or Python development on Linux platforms.
• Strong understanding of data structures and threading models.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Passion for solving complex problems and building software from scratch.
• Interest in hardware, networking, and OS design for high-performance software.
• Reliable and predictable availability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Past internship or job experience in software development is a plus.
• Advanced coursework in algorithms, network programming, operating systems, or compilers.
• No finance or economics experience required.
