About the role
Join Jump Trading as an FPGA Engineer Intern to develop ultra-low-latency systems for global trading using machine learning and advanced hardware design.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop next-generation FPGA systems for high-performance trading applications.
- Work on complex problems in networking, high performance computing, and real-time acceleration.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and researchers in FPGA and hardware design.
- Contribute to building custom hardware beyond off-the-shelf solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate studies in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Experience with FPGA or hardware/systems design and development.
- Proficiency in RTL languages like SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
- Previous internship experience in hardware or low-level software engineering.
- Knowledge of C, C++, or Python programming languages.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver high-performance solutions.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with lowRISC or RISC-V architectures.
- Experience with CocoTB, Chisel, Opencore, or Bluespec.
- Knowledge of HLS or OpenCL.
- Programming close to hardware with CPU, GPU, or microprocessors.
- Linux kernel and driver programming experience.
- Background in robotics, telecommunications, or high-speed networking.

- Estimated base salary is $250,000 per year.
