About the role

Join Jump Trading as a Campus AI Research Engineer Intern to apply advanced machine learning techniques in financial markets. Collaborate with researchers and engineers to develop and optimize ML models and infrastructure for trading applications.

Role Responsibilities

• Apply state-of-the-art ML techniques to complex financial domains.
• Collaborate with researchers and quantitative analysts to build reusable ML frameworks.
• Optimize training pipelines for high-performance computing resources.
• Integrate ML models into low-latency production systems.
• Work with programming languages including C, C++, Python, CUDA, and GPU languages.
• Develop large-scale ML systems to improve research productivity.

Required Skills

• Strong publication record or contributions to open-source AI research.
• Solid background in ML, including deep learning and language models like transformers.
• Proficient in Python and/or C++ development.
• Familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
• Intellectual curiosity, versatility, and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration in team environments.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with high-performance computing and distributed model training.
• GPU performance optimization experience (CUDA or ROCm).
• End-to-end ML model development experience.
• Strong opinions on ML research best practices and tooling.
