Role and Responsibilities
- Work alongside experienced engineers on trading system software development.
- Contribute to building and improving high-performance data pipelines and processing systems.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers to develop research support tools.
- Optimize system performance via profiling, debugging, and architectural improvements.
- Build shared tools and infrastructure to enhance research efficiency.

Required Skills
- Strong foundation in C++ and Python programming.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, memory management, OS, compilers, architecture, networking.
- Interest in systems programming and software-hardware interaction.
- Comfortable working in Linux environments.
- Passion for clean, efficient, maintainable code and collaborative codebases.

Additional Skills (Helpful but Not Required)
- Curiosity for data-driven approaches and handling large-scale data from first principles.
- Experience with performance optimization or low-latency systems.
- Familiarity with HPC or distributed computing.
- Exposure to data analysis tools like Pandas, NumPy, or statistical methods.
- Previous software development internship or job experience.

- Interest in working full-time in Hong Kong after graduation.
- Good communication skills with users and stakeholders.
- Reliable and predictable availability.
