About the role
Join JPMorganChase’s two-year Software Engineer Program in Glasgow or London, starting full-time in September 2027. You’ll design, develop, test, and troubleshoot software while collaborating with experienced engineers and stakeholders. Structured induction, learning, mentorship, and hands-on projects develop technical skills, professional judgment, and responsible use of modern and AI-enabled engineering tools.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot software solutions.
- Communicate technical problems clearly, document solutions, and effectively prompt approved AI-assisted development tools.
- Collaborate with engineers, managers, and stakeholders to understand problems and deliver reliable solutions.
- Use approved AI tools for coding, refactoring, testing, and documentation, validating outputs through review and secure practices.
- Apply automation and modern tooling across the software development life cycle to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Participate in Force for Good programs supporting technology solutions for social impact initiatives.
Program and Selection Process
- Complete a two-year development experience combining structured learning, mentorship, and hands-on project work.
- Begin with an in-depth induction covering the firm’s businesses, engineering standards, and development methodologies.
- Applications are reviewed against required qualifications before candidates progress to the next stage.
- Complete the required HackerRank coding challenge before further application review.
- Candidates progressing further will be invited to participate in a virtual Superday.
- Classes fill on a rolling basis, and programs close as positions are filled.
Locations
- The program is available in Glasgow and London.
- Successful candidates start full-time employment in September 2027.
