About the role

The 2027 Software Engineer Immersion Program is a Glasgow summer internship for students graduating between January and July 2029. Program Experience

  • Work collaboratively with peers and experienced software engineers in a modern engineering environment.
  • Build technical foundations through ongoing training, mentorship, senior speaker sessions, and peer networking.
  • Top performers may be invited to join JPMorganChase for future opportunities after the summer.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot software solutions using established engineering standards and best practices.
  • Write secure, high-quality code in at least one programming language.
  • Collaborate with engineers, managers, and stakeholders to understand problems and deliver reliable solutions.
  • Communicate clearly by articulating technical problems, documenting solutions, and sharing ideas and feedback.
  • Use approved AI tools for coding, refactoring, testing, debugging, and documentation, validating outputs thoroughly.
  • Apply automation and modern tooling across the software development life cycle to improve efficiency and reliability.

  • Applications cannot progress to further review until the HackerRank assessment is completed.
