2027 Global Corporate Banking Analyst Program - Public Sector - Summer Internship - London

About the role

The Global Corporate Banking Public Sector Summer Internship in London supports bankers with client coverage, research, financing analysis, internal reporting and transaction execution. You will receive orientation and technical training, work with cross-functional teams, and build sector expertise. Strong performers may receive a full-time offer for the two-year analyst program.

Responsibilities

• Support Public Sector bankers with existing client relationships and develop expertise across relevant business lines.
• Research clients, prospects, products, competitors, economic outlooks, trends and sector challenges.
• Maintain internal reports, including revenue decks and analytical reports, while gaining product and strategy exposure.
• Prepare internal memoranda, including senior management briefings and decision committee memoranda.
• Support financing request analysis and negotiations with credit, product, legal and compliance teams.
• Coordinate global transactions with product and country teams across capital markets, risk solutions and transaction banking.

Training and Development

• Complete orientation and training led by experienced professionals and specialist instructors.
• Receive technical and practical training, mentoring, senior management access and peer networking opportunities.
• Network with industry leaders and learn how business areas work together to serve clients.
• Top-performing interns may receive a full-time offer for the two-year Global Corporate Banking analyst program.

Requirements

• Expected graduation between January 2028 and August 2028.
• Demonstrate familiarity with business fundamentals and strong interest in public sector institutions.
• Show problem-solving ability, motivation, initiative, energy and willingness to take early responsibility.
• Work collaboratively while managing individual projects and developing client and sector knowledge.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Be fluent in English.

Preferred Qualification

• Be on track for a United Kingdom 2:1 bachelor's degree or equivalent undergraduate qualification.
