About the role
This nine-week summer internship offers practical experience in Global Finance and Business Management at JPMorgan Chase. Interns support strategic decisions, financial controls, reporting, planning, regulatory requirements, and business initiatives. High-performing interns may receive an offer for the three-year Analyst Program beginning in September 2028.
Responsibilities
- Support financial management and strategic business decisions across Global Finance and Business Management.
- Product Control rotation is mandatory, supporting P&L, balance-sheet integrity, trading desks, and risk functions.
- Contribute to financial controls, general-ledger integrity, transaction-cycle controls, and critical reporting activities.
- Produce financial and strategic analysis supporting planning, forecasting, and business decision-making.
- Support regulatory reporting, capital requirements, policy implementation, and guidance for business teams.
- Identify, escalate, and mitigate business risks while contributing to firm-wide regulatory and policy initiatives.
Potential Functional Groups
- Product Control supports daily, weekly, and monthly P&L and balance-sheet risk integrity.
- Legal Entity Control oversees legal-entity financials, regulatory reporting, and the related control environment.
- Financial Control manages general-ledger integrity, transaction-cycle controls, and critical financial reporting.
- Planning and Analysis coordinates financial planning, forecasting, and analysis with partners across the firm.
- Regulatory Reporting and Capital Policy prepares regulatory submissions and monitors capital requirements and policies.
- Business Management and Program Management support business performance, stakeholder initiatives, and large-scale firm-wide programs.
Requirements
- Well-rounded academic background with an interest in financial management.
- Expected graduation year of 2028.
- Basic understanding of financial statements, accounting procedures, internal and external reporting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Passion for data analysis and accounting.
- Leadership experience in a school or community organisation.
- Outside interests and achievements demonstrating individual character and potential contribution to the team.
