About the role

Nine-week London summer internship in J.P. Morgan’s Commercial & Investment Bank Research team offers hands-on experience across credit, emerging markets, equity, FX, and macro research. Interns monitor markets, analyze companies and data, develop trade ideas, and produce research materials while receiving technical training and networking opportunities. Successful participants may receive full-time analyst offers based on achievements.

Responsibilities

• Model financial statements and industry dynamics, perform valuations, and analyze complex datasets.
• Monitor markets, assess relevant news events, and develop trade ideas.
• Write research notes, sector pieces, industry overviews, and market overviews.
• Conduct portfolio reviews and advise internal and external clients, corporates, and management teams.

Research Placements

• Credit Research assesses debt markets, credit quality, market risks, and relative value.
• Emerging Markets Research evaluates economic conditions, policy developments, capital flows, and investment opportunities.
• Equity Research analyzes companies, sectors, financial performance, valuation, and share-price drivers.
• FX Research examines interest rates, economic data, policy developments, and foreign exchange strategy.
• Macro Research covers economic trends, forecasts, and central-bank and fiscal-policy developments.

Program Experience

• Receive technical and practical training from expert instructors and J.P. Morgan professionals.
• Build market knowledge through hands-on work, skills training, and professional networking.
• The internship is a pipeline to the following year’s full-time analyst program.
