About the role

Join J.P. Morgan’s Global Markets team in London for a nine-week summer internship running June to August. Work across asset classes through Trading, Structuring & Origination, Systematic Trading, or Digital Markets, supporting research, market monitoring, trade ideas, portfolio reviews, and client-focused financial solutions. Training and networking are provided, with potential analyst offers after successful completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop financial solutions helping clients manage risk, increase returns, and address complex financial problems.
• Support senior colleagues with research, evaluation, analysis, and preparatory work.
• Monitor markets, develop trade ideas, and conduct portfolio reviews.
• Learn about products and solutions designed for clients across changing market conditions.
• Solve stimulating business issues while taking responsibility for collaborative projects.
• Participate in hands-on experience, relevant skills training, and professional networking.

Global Markets Tracks

• Trading: respond to client enquiries, manage resulting risk, and assess market-moving events.
• Structuring & Origination: support structured products, liability management, and hedging solutions for clients.
• Systematic Trading: help design strategies, analyse data, enhance software, and support pricing, risk, back testing, and performance.
• Digital Markets: help develop digital distribution strategies, automation, innovation, and solutions for clients and internal stakeholders.

Program Experience

• The nine-week program runs from June to August for penultimate-year and final-year students.
• Expert instructors and J.P. Morgan professionals provide technical, practical, and organizational training.
• Successful completion and strong personal and collaborative achievements may lead to full-time analyst programme offers.
