2027 Commercial & Investment Bank - Global Investment Banking Analyst Program - Summer Internship - Amsterdam

About the role

This nine-week 2027 summer internship places analysts in Amsterdam within Coverage, Advisory, or Capital Markets teams. You will analyse market data, build financial models, prepare client presentations, manage transactions, and solve complex business challenges. The programme includes five days of orientation and training, with potential 2028 full-time analyst offers for top performers.

Teams

• Join one of Coverage, Advisory, or Capital Markets teams supporting investment banking clients.
• Coverage teams span Business Services, Consumer & Retail, Diversified Industries, Financial Institutions Group, Healthcare, Media & Communications, Natural Resources, Real Estate, Strategic Investor Group, Technology, and UK Coverage.
• Advisory teams include M&A, Corporate Finance Advisory, Infrastructure Finance & Advisory, Ratings Advisory, and Sustainable Solutions.
• Capital Markets includes Equity Capital Markets and Debt Capital Markets, covering Investment Grade Finance and Leveraged Finance.

Responsibilities

• Analyse market data, build detailed financial models, and prepare client presentations for advisory transactions.
• Manage client transactions from pitch to close under the guidance of senior leaders.
• Develop innovative and creative solutions to complex, real-world business challenges.
• Learn how the firm helps clients and communities grow across different needs.
• Sharpen technical skills through practical project work and transaction exposure.
• Build a professional network with mentors, senior executives, and colleagues.

Required qualifications

• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and interpretative skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative work environment.
• Adaptable, flexible, and resilient approach.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Fluency in English and Dutch.
• Expected graduation between January 2028 and December 2028; further education must be reflected accurately.

Preferred qualification

• On track for a UK 2:1 Bachelor's degree or equivalent in undergraduate studies.
