About the role
This off-cycle internship places you within Global Markets in Paris, supporting research, market monitoring, trade ideas and portfolio reviews. You may join Trading or Structuring & Origination, gaining practical exposure to financial solutions, derivatives, risk management and client-focused market activity through training and professional networking.
Responsibilities
- Support senior colleagues with research, evaluation and preparatory work.
- Monitor financial markets and develop trade ideas.
- Conduct portfolio reviews and investigate client-focused financial solutions.
- Help address business issues involving risk, returns and complex financial problems.
- Learn about products and solutions designed for different market conditions.
Available Tracks
- Trading provides exposure to global markets, liquidity provision, client enquiries and resulting risk management.
- Trading involves detailed evaluation of market-moving events and fast execution across asset classes.
- Structuring & Origination develops structured products, liability management and hedging solutions for clients.
- The team offers derivatives products to institutional investors, distributors, corporates and private investors.
Training And Timing
- Participate in hands-on experience, relevant skills training and professional networking.
- Expert instructors and J.P. Morgan professionals provide technical and practical training.
- Recruitment is pooled, with roles recruited quarterly for Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4 starts.
- Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and programs may close as positions fill.
Requirements
- Excellent analytical, quantitative and interpretative skills, including algebra, statistics and probability.
- Fluency in English and willingness to manage projects collaboratively.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment with adaptability, flexibility and resilience.
- Graduation date must fall between July 2027 and January 2028.
- Strong interest in global financial markets and investigative or quantitative work is preferred.
- All degree disciplines are welcomed; numerical and analytical interests are advantageous.
