About the role
This off-cycle Global Markets internship in Frankfurt offers exposure to Trading or Structuring & Origination across major asset classes. You’ll support research and analysis, monitor markets, develop trade ideas, review portfolios, and learn how financial solutions manage client risk and returns.
Responsibilities
- Support senior colleagues with research, evaluation, analysis, and preparatory work.
- Monitor markets, develop trade ideas, and conduct portfolio reviews.
- Help develop financial solutions addressing client risk, returns, and complex financial problems.
- Learn about products and solutions for managing different market conditions.
- Take responsibility for projects while collaborating with colleagues.
Available tracks
- Trading provides exposure to global markets, client liquidity, risk management, and market-moving events.
- Trading requires detailed evaluations, fast execution, and responsiveness to client enquiries.
- Structuring & Origination develops structured products, investor products, liability management, and hedging solutions.
- The team serves institutional investors, distributors, corporates, and private investors through derivatives products.
Training and development
- Participate in hands-on experience, relevant skills training, and professional networking.
- Expert instructors and J.P. Morgan professionals provide technical and practical training.
- Training covers the organization’s history, current scale, and future plans.
Requirements
- Demonstrate excellent analytical, quantitative, and interpretative skills, including algebra, statistics, and probability.
- Thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and resilience.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills for the country of application.
- Graduation date must fall between July 2026 and July 2027.
- Demonstrate interest in global financial markets and investigative or quantitative skills.
- All degree disciplines are welcomed, particularly candidates comfortable with numerical and analytical challenges.
