2027 Human Resources Summer Analyst Program – Jersey City, Compensation and Benefits

About the role

Human Resources Summer Analyst intern in Jersey City supporting Jefferies’ Compensation and Benefits teams. The 10-week program includes orientation, mentorship, formal performance reviews, and hands-on work across benefits administration, HRIS processing, benefits rollouts, compensation projects, stock awards, and international programs covering the US, Brazil, and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Support the benefits and compensation teams with ongoing projects and operational needs.
• Use the HRIS to process benefit elections and leaves, answer employee inquiries, and resolve system issues.
• Coordinate with multiple individuals across the organization while adhering to project deadlines.
• Support benefit rollouts and compensation projects, including stock awards.
• Work with benefits programs and offerings across the US, Brazil, and Canada.
• Contribute to forecasting costs.

Program Experience

• Complete an orientation program before beginning day-to-day responsibilities.
• Receive support from colleagues serving as instructors and mentors throughout the internship.
• Participate in projects involving research, analysis, recommendations, creative thinking, and team input.
• Receive formal performance reviews during the internship.

Candidate Profile

• Pursue a four-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate program.
• Expect to graduate between December 2028 and June 2029.
• Demonstrate strong academic performance, professionalism, and relationship management skills.
• Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats with colleagues at all levels.
• Manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
• Work independently and collaboratively with strong attention to detail and organization.
