About the role

The London Equity Research Analyst Programme starts in July or August 2027. Analysts support fundamental research across sectors through data collection, financial modelling, writing, company and client engagement, and stock coverage. The programme combines on-the-job learning with tailored training, mentoring, and opportunities to contribute to reports, presentations, and thematic research.

Responsibilities

  • Support Senior Analysts with fundamental research, including information gathering, analysis, modelling, writing, and maintaining stock coverage.
  • Build relationships with investor-relations executives, update Sales & Trading on key news, and respond to client queries.
  • Maintain sector databases and contribute to reports, presentations, thematic pieces, and desk optimisation projects.
  • Develop sector knowledge, provide accurate responses to analyst requests, and potentially support stock and client coverage.
  • Support team targets under the analyst scorecard and attend Associate Stock Call and training sessions.

Programme and Training

  • Based in the London office, with an expected July or August 2027 start date.
  • The programme provides graduate students with practical experience and on-the-job learning in equity research.
  • Tailored training may cover financial modelling, valuation, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Experienced staff provide regular internal training, while the EMEA department offers a mentor scheme for junior analysts.
