2027 Controllers Summer Analyst Program – New York and Jersey City

About the role

The 2027 Controllers Summer Analyst Program offers a 10-week internship in New York or Jersey City. Interns gain hands-on experience across finance and accounting activities, including financial controls, reporting, valuation, regulatory filings, forecasting, and management analysis, while working with Finance, Risk, Compliance, operations, and business management teams.

Program experience

• Complete an orientation program before beginning day-to-day responsibilities.
• Work on projects involving research, analysis, recommendations, and creative problem-solving.
• Receive support from colleagues serving as instructors and mentors throughout the internship.
• Participate in formal performance reviews during the internship.
• Interact regularly with Finance, Risk, Compliance, operations, and business management teams.

Controllers opportunities

• Balance Sheet, Legal Entity, and Corporate Control manages balance-sheet controls, legal-entity analysis, books, records, payables, and fixed assets.
• Business Unit Controllers record, reconcile, analyze, and explain trading-related financial data across supported business divisions.
• Financial Planning & Analysis prepares management reports, forecasts, budgets, profitability analyses, and ad hoc business-health reporting.
• Regulatory Controllers prepare SEC and FINRA filings, manage regulatory capital, and address regulatory inquiries.
• Valuation Controllers perform independent price verification and provide valuation opinions on firm inventory.
• Accounting Policy, External Reporting, Compensation, and Expense Controllers support accounting advice, filings, compensation analysis, expense controls, and forecasting.
