2027 Compliance Summer Analyst Program – New York

About the role

Ten-week Compliance Summer Analyst internship in New York offering hands-on experience within a broker-dealer’s Compliance department. Interns work with experienced professionals, learn supporting technology, complete research and analysis projects, and present to senior leadership. The program includes orientation, mentorship, formal performance reviews, and exposure to investment banking and capital markets.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced Compliance professionals from law firms, securities regulators, and investment banks.
• Learn how Compliance operates within a firm providing investment banking, capital markets, and asset management services.
• Gain hands-on experience with technology tools supporting the Compliance department.
• Complete a dedicated project and presentation for the Compliance senior leadership team.
• Contribute to projects involving research, analysis, recommendations, creative thinking, and team value creation.

Program Experience

• Complete an orientation program before beginning day-to-day internship responsibilities.
• Receive support from colleagues serving as instructors and mentors throughout the internship.
• Receive formal performance reviews during the program.
• Gain practical experience working in the Compliance department of a broker-dealer.

Candidate Profile

• Strong academic background and pursuit of a four-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent program.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects, and work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, judgment, confidentiality, professionalism, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with adaptability and a positive attitude.
