About the role
Equity Research interns in Brazil support company analysis, earnings research, valuation work, financial modeling, and investment recommendations. Working alongside experienced research professionals, interns gain hands-on exposure to global markets, institutional client needs, analyst and management interactions, and collaboration with Sales & Trading and Investment Banking teams.
Responsibilities
- Support projects involving research, analysis, recommendations, and financial modeling.
- Contribute to company analysis, earnings research, valuation work, and investment ideas.
- Provide input, think creatively, and make meaningful contributions from the first day.
- Work with research professionals serving institutional clients across global markets.
Team and exposure
- Gain exposure to analyst, investor, and management team interactions through company engagement.
- Work within a lean, entrepreneurial team and build relationships with senior professionals.
- Collaborate closely with Sales & Trading and Investment Banking teams.
- Contribute to Jefferies’ expanding Brazil business and local presence.
Candidate profile
- Strong academic background and demonstrated professionalism are required.
- Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills are expected.
- Relationship management skills and the ability to multitask are important.
- Must work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Adaptability and the ability to work independently and within a team are essential.
