About the role
The 10-week Data Analytics Summer Analyst internship at Jefferies Finance supports data quality monitoring, remediation, governance, business analysis, analytics, and report automation. Interns work with the data team and support reporting, data warehouse processes, Power BI development, close activities, and strategic analyses for a diversified financial institution.
Responsibilities
- Monitor data quality and assist with remediation for key business data.
- Identify, validate, implement, and monitor data quality rules.
- Facilitate resolution of data quality issues and identify root causes.
- Support data governance, business analysis, and monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting.
- Assist with cloud-based data warehouse extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Develop Power BI reports and support senior staff with strategic analyses.

- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment.
- Demonstrate professionalism, client management skills, and strong technical, written, and verbal communication.
- Work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines, both independently and within a team.
