About the role

Ten-week Investment Banking Summer Analyst internship in Jefferies’ New York Capital Structure Solutions team. The role offers hands-on experience supporting senior bankers on pitches, live deals, financings, M&A, valuation, financial modeling, and research. Analysts receive orientation, training, mentorship, performance reviews, and exposure to distressed and transitional capital structure assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial valuation, discounted cash flow, and multiples-based analyses.
• Build and use financial models for transaction and company analysis.
• Prepare pitchbooks, offering memorandums, prospectuses, and other live deal materials.
• Conduct industry, product, corporate, and financial research.
• Analyze detailed corporate and financial information.
• Participate in financings and mergers and acquisitions transaction execution.

About the Team

• Capital Structure Solutions provides capital structure advisory and capital markets solutions to companies, creditors, sponsors, and stakeholders.
• The team advises on distressed and transitional financings, liability management, recapitalizations, restructurings, and special situations M&A.
• The group collaborates with industry coverage and other product teams across major verticals.

Program Experience

• Receive orientation and training before beginning day-to-day responsibilities on active deal teams.
