About the role

Ten-week Investment Banking Summer Analyst internship in Jefferies’ Charlotte Technology, Media & Telecom Group. Analysts receive orientation and training, then support senior bankers on pitches, live deals, company and market research, valuation, modeling, financings, and M&A transactions. The program offers mentoring, professional development, performance reviews, and a salary of $110,000 pro-rated for the internship.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial valuation, discounted cash flow, and multiples-based analyses.
• Build and use financial models for banking assignments.
• Prepare pitchbooks, offering memorandums, prospectuses, and other live deal materials.
• Conduct industry, product, company, and market research.
• Analyze detailed corporate and financial information.
• Participate in financings and M&A transaction execution.

Program Details

• Complete an orientation and training program before beginning day-to-day responsibilities.
• Work closely with senior bankers on pitches and live deals.
• Receive support from colleagues serving as instructors and mentors.
• Attend social and educational events supporting professional development and networking.
• Receive formal performance reviews during the program.

Candidate Profile

• Complete the junior year of a four-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent program.
• Graduate between December 2028 and June 2029.
• Demonstrate a strong academic background and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Show professionalism, client management skills, adaptability, and a collaborative approach.
• Manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
