About the role

Ten-week Investment Banking Summer Analyst internship in Jefferies’ Charlotte Aerospace, Defense & Government group. Analysts receive orientation and training, support senior bankers on pitches, live deals, financings, and M&A, and perform valuation, modelling, research, and transaction analysis while developing technical, communication, and client-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial valuation, discounted cash flow, and multiples-based analyses.
• Build and use financial models.
• Prepare pitchbooks and live deal materials, including offering memorandums and prospectuses.
• Conduct industry and product research.
• Analyze detailed corporate and financial information.
• Participate in financing and M&A transaction execution.

Program and Team

• Work closely with senior bankers on pitches and live deals within a lean deal-team structure.
• The Aerospace, Defense & Government group covers Aviation, Aerospace, Defense, and Government Services.
• The group comprises 21 professionals based in Charlotte, Washington, D.C., and New York.
• Receive support from colleagues serving as instructors and mentors throughout the internship.
• Participate in social and educational events and receive formal performance reviews.
