About the role
The 2028 Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program in Calgary’s Energy Group offers hands-on experience supporting pitches, live transactions, valuation, financial modelling, research, financings, and M&A. Analysts receive orientation, training, mentorship, performance reviews, and exposure to Jefferies’ global Energy platform during a 10-week engagement.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial valuation, discounted cash flow, and multiples-based analyses.
- Build and use financial models.
- Prepare pitchbooks and live deal materials, including offering memorandums and prospectuses.
- Conduct industry and product research.
- Analyze detailed corporate and financial information.
- Participate in financings and M&A transaction execution.
Program Experience
- Work closely with senior bankers on pitches and live deals.
- Receive orientation and training before beginning day-to-day responsibilities.
- Receive support from colleagues serving as instructors and mentors.
- Attend social and educational events supporting professional development and networking.
- Receive formal performance reviews during the internship.
- Gain exposure to Jefferies’ global Energy platform.
