2027 Information Technology Summer Analyst (Infrastructure) - Hong Kong

About the role

The 2027 Information Technology Summer Analyst will join Jefferies’ Global Infrastructure team in Hong Kong. The role supports the technology backbone of the enterprise and innovation in cloud adoption and network resiliency. Candidates should be penultimate-year students in relevant technical degree programmes, graduating between October 2027 and July 2028.

Role and Team

• Build and maintain technology infrastructure supporting enterprise operations.
• Work on innovation initiatives including cloud adoption and network resiliency.
• Collaborate with colleagues in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Pursue an undergraduate or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Be in the penultimate year of university, with anticipated graduation between October 2027 and July 2028.
• Demonstrate the ability to learn and adapt quickly while collaborating with others.
• Bring strong leadership, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.

Technical Skills

• Programming or scripting experience with Java, Python, VBA, macros, Bash, PowerShell, SQL, or other scripting languages.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms, modern virtualization, Kubernetes container management, and Docker.
• Knowledge of network routing, switching, security protocols, wireless technologies, cloud connectivity, and stateful application traffic profiles.
• Operating system experience with Linux or Windows, plus Agile or DevOps practices, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with REST APIs and data science technologies.
• Database knowledge including Oracle, Microsoft SQL, or Sybase, with the ability to build database queries.
