2027 Equity Sales & Trading Summer Analyst – High Touch Trading – Hong Kong

About the role

Join Jefferies’ 2027 Equities Sales & Trading Summer Analyst Program in Hong Kong, supporting high-touch trading across client orders, market analysis, trade lifecycle management, and desk activities. Collaborate with Sales, Research, Operations, Compliance, and Technology while developing practical knowledge of market structure, execution, analytics, and trading technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support traders executing client orders across equities and related products while monitoring markets, liquidity, news, and macroeconomic developments.
• Analyze trading activity, execution performance, and market trends to support client discussions, execution strategies, and market commentary.
• Assist with trade booking, reconciliation, exception resolution, and coordination with Operations and other support functions.
• Support client flow management, market updates, and daily desk activities alongside traders and sales professionals.
• Build analytical tools, dashboards, and automated workflows using Excel, Python, AI-enabled technologies, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with Sales, Research, Operations, Compliance, and Technology on trading and workflow improvement projects.

Program Experience

• Gain exposure to Research Sales, Cash Trading, Derivatives, Prime Brokerage, Electronic Trading, and Desk Strategy.
• Develop understanding of market structure, trading venues, order types, execution algorithms, and best execution principles across regional markets.
• Receive on-the-job learning from colleagues serving as instructors and mentors throughout the program.
• Review professional development and receive detailed performance feedback during the program and at its conclusion.
