About the role

Jefferies’ Hong Kong Equities Sales & Trading Summer Analyst Program offers penultimate-year students hands-on exposure to cash trading and related sales and trading functions. Analysts support market monitoring, trading analytics, risk management, trade lifecycle activities, and technology initiatives while learning from colleagues, receiving feedback, and collaborating across Sales, Risk, Operations, and Technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor market developments, liquidity conditions, trading activity, risk exposures, and market movements across regional markets.
• Analyze positions, inventory, market data, and P&L drivers to support pricing, risk management, and trading strategies.
• Support trade lifecycle activities, including trade booking, reconciliation, exception resolution, and coordination with Operations.
• Build analytical tools, dashboards, automated processes, and AI-driven solutions using Excel, VBA, Python, SQL, or similar technologies.
• Collaborate with Sales, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams to improve desk workflows, productivity, and trading operations.
• Stay informed about economic, market, regulatory, and technology developments affecting financial markets and trading systems.

• Collaborate across Research Sales, Derivatives, Prime Services, Electronic Trading, and Desk Strategy.
