About the role
The 2027 Equity Research Summer Analyst Program in Singapore offers penultimate-year students a 10-week placement supporting senior analysts. You will build and analyze financial models, conduct market research, monitor company and sector developments, and contribute to reports and presentations while developing research, analytical, communication, and professional skills.
Responsibilities
- Support senior analysts with financial models evaluating company fundamentals and industry dynamics.
- Conduct data gathering and market research, including using AI tools to develop timely insights.
- Assist with research reports, presentations, and thematic deep dives using AI-enabled workflows.
- Monitor company news, earnings results, and sector developments to support actionable research outputs.
- Participate in due diligence, financial modeling, and fundamental research across covered industries.
Program Experience
- Complete an orientation and training program before beginning day-to-day responsibilities.
- Receive support from colleagues acting as instructors and mentors throughout the engagement.
- Attend social and educational events designed to support professional development and networking.
- Receive formal performance reviews during the program.
Team
- Work with a Senior Equity Research Analyst within Jefferies’ global Equity Research team.
- The team conducts fundamental research across companies and industries worldwide.
- Coverage includes financial services, healthcare, technology, energy, consumer, industrials, and other sectors.
Requirements
- Be in the penultimate year of university when applying.
- Have an anticipated graduation date between October 2027 and July 2028.
- Achieve a minimum GPA of 3.6 or equivalent.
- Demonstrate strong technical, written, and verbal communication abilities.
- Manage multiple projects, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and operate independently or collaboratively.
- Demonstrate professionalism, client management skills, adaptability, and a collaborative approach.
