Role and Responsibilities

• Work closely with full-time engineers on critical infrastructure projects.
• Focus on Linux systems from OS to hardware layers.
• Investigate performance issues and fix kernel bugs.
• Respond to real-time datacenter issues and improve monitoring.
• Automate workflows and enhance infrastructure provisioning.
• Participate in operational work and root-cause analyses.

Project Experience

• Work on projects enhancing Linux system resilience and diagnostics.
• Automate collection of diagnostic data from early boot failures.
• Design scalable systems for TCP diagnostic data collection.
• Extend infrastructure management for new compute capacities.
• Projects deliver real value to current firm challenges.
• Receive close mentorship from project designers.

Candidate Requirements

• Knowledge of OS fundamentals and computer architecture.
• Experience with systems programming concepts like sockets and virtual memory.
• Basic understanding of network protocols.
• Comfortable using Linux command-line and troubleshooting.
• Problem-solving through coding in any language.
• Intellectually curious, collaborative, and strong communicator.
