Trading Desk Operations Engineer

About the role

Join Jane Street’s Trading Desk Operations Engineering team in Hong Kong, supporting infrastructure and operational processes behind trading thousands of financial products across global venues. You will work with traders and developers, solve trading-related issues, coordinate stakeholders, and build tools that improve accuracy and execution efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize trading desk infrastructure and operational processes.
• Support trading systems and workflows through data queries and stakeholder coordination.
• Design and implement solutions for trading and operational issues.
• Communicate with clearing firms and external counterparties to settle and clear trades.
• Build tools that help the firm operate smoothly and execute trades efficiently.

Training and Collaboration

• Work alongside traders and developers in a collaborative trading-desk environment.
• Receive mentorship from Trading Desk Operations Engineers, traders, and developers.
• Participate in development and training programs during the first few months.
