About the role

This full-time, fixed-term internship in Invesco’s Global Security Department provides hands-on exposure to cybersecurity operations, security engineering, and cyber program delivery. Interns support offensive security, cloud security, engineering, and PMO initiatives while developing experience in vulnerability management, security documentation, reporting, metrics, and cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Support active cyber initiatives across Offensive Security & Testing, Cloud Security & Engineering, and PMO workstreams.
  • Coordinate meeting notes, action items, decisions, risks, dependencies, and follow-ups with project managers and cyber teams.
  • Maintain project plans, status trackers, roadmaps, dashboards, and delivery materials.
  • Assist with operating models, process flows, testing documentation, remediation plans, playbooks, and stakeholder-ready materials.
  • Organize security metrics, updates, risk information, and program data into clear summaries and reports.
  • Identify ways to simplify tracking, improve communication, and make cybersecurity information easier to understand.

Technical Exposure

  • Gain exposure to vulnerability management, application security, cloud and SaaS security, data protection, detection, and response.
  • Learn how security controls are improved and remediation is tracked across cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Understand how cyber programs use plans, roadmaps, milestones, risks, dependencies, stakeholder updates, and executive reporting.
  • Work across technical and program-delivery aspects of enterprise cybersecurity.

Work Arrangement

  • Full-time, student/intern fixed-term role based in Houston, Texas.
  • Under Invesco’s workplace policy, employees are expected to work at least four full days weekly in an office.
  • The stated four-day office expectation applies as of October 1, 2025.
