About the role
Hudson River Trading seeks a 2026/2027 graduate for Electronic Trading Support Engineer in Dublin. The role involves managing live trading systems, troubleshooting, and enhancing platform reliability in a high-pressure environment.
Role and Responsibilities
- Serve as first line of response to production issues ensuring maximal uptime of trading systems.
- Monitor market data feeds, order entry connections, and trading algorithms.
- Prioritize and multitask live issues based on trading impact.
- Collaborate with teams during live incidents using strong communication skills.
- Identify recurring problems and build monitoring tools to improve platform reliability.
- Stay calm and solve problems effectively under pressure.
Qualifications
- Recent graduate or current full-time student in computer science or related field eligible for 2026/2027 roles.
- Understanding of networking, routing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Python and strong computer science fundamentals.
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux command line.
- Interest in low-level architecture or verification is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
- Estimated base salary range: $100,000 to $150,000 USD per year or local equivalent.
