About the role
Graduate Financial Analyst joining Houlihan Lokey’s London Corporate Finance team, supporting sell-side and buy-side M&A engagements within sector-focused teams. The role offers exposure to financial analysis, valuation, financing structures, industry research, live transactions, and senior professionals. Candidates start full-time in July 2027 after completing final assessments.
Responsibilities
- Support sell-side and buy-side M&A assignments as a dedicated member of the transaction team.
- Research financial statements, economic conditions, industry developments, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Analyse publicly traded and private companies, including their investment attributes and financial performance.
- Develop knowledge of capital raisings and financing structures through live corporate finance engagements.
- Work across Business Services, Technology, FinTech, Healthcare, or Industrials sector teams.
Requirements
- Complete final university assessments in spring or summer 2027, with a strong academic record from a highly regarded university.
- Have at least three months’ internship experience in M&A or a similar role.
- Demonstrate strong quantitative, financial, and analytical skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Understand valuation theory, methodologies, and applications.
- Be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Show dedication, teamwork, a strong work ethic, and willingness to pursue high performance.
