Intern – M&A/Financial Restructuring – São Paulo

About the role

Internship opportunity in São Paulo with Houlihan Lokey's Financial Restructuring Group. Gain experience in financial modeling, M&A, and restructuring transactions with senior professionals in a global investment bank.

Responsibilities

• Support financial model development and analyze financial statements and industry trends.
• Work with experienced professionals on complex transactions across various industries.
• Assist in preparing client materials and conducting market, industry, and company analyses.
• Engage in transaction-oriented work supporting buyers, sellers, and portfolio managers.
• Participate in complex client negotiations.

Requirements

• Strong academic background in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Law, or related fields.
• Fundamental understanding of valuation theory, accounting, and finance.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and key assumptions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and English.
• Spanish skills favorable but not essential.
• Independent thinker with strong work ethic and organizational skills.
