About the role

Join Houlihan Lokey's General Partner Advisory team as a Financial Analyst, working on live M&A transactions advising private equity and alternative asset managers. Gain hands-on experience in financial modeling, transaction execution, and client communications in a fast-growing private markets sector.

Role Responsibilities

• Drive sell-side M&A processes from mandate to closing.
• Build and own financial models and valuations.
• Prepare client materials including CIMs and presentations.
• Work directly with Managing Directors and Vice Presidents.
• Engage in competitive sell-side processes for private capital firms.
• Support strategic and financial advisory for GP stake sales.

• Part of Houlihan Lokey's Capital Solutions Group with ~200 professionals.
• Focus on advising private equity, credit, real estate, and infrastructure firms.
• Operate within a lean, senior-led team with direct leadership interaction.
• Leverage the firm's #1 global M&A platform and capital advisory expertise.
• Handle sensitive, private transactions not publicly disclosed.
• Work in a fast-growing, strategic area of alternative asset management.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree completion between Dec 2026 and Jun 2027.
• Intellectual curiosity about private markets and GP economics.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and ownership of work product.
• Preferred: financial modeling and valuation methodology proficiency.
• Preferred: interest or familiarity with private capital ecosystem.

Compensation and Benefits

• Estimated salary range: $110,000 annually.
