Associate (Class of 2027) – Financial Restructuring – New York

About the role

Join Houlihan Lokey's Financial Restructuring Group as an Associate to advise on restructurings, distressed M&A, and financing. This role offers exposure to diverse financial advisory and investment banking services in a global, fast-paced environment.

Role Responsibilities

• Advise on creditor- and debtor-side restructurings and distressed M&A transactions.
• Assist in raising debt and equity financing for clients.
• Provide advisory services in special situations involving distressed investing.
• Participate in complex negotiations on behalf of clients.
• Work as part of deal teams including managing directors, VPs, associates, and analysts.

Candidate Requirements

• Undergraduate degree with exemplary academic record from an accredited institution.
• MBA degree from a top institution, graduating between Dec 2026 and Jun 2027.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and finance.
• Excellent verbal, written, public speaking, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Extensive financial modeling and valuation experience with strong attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits

• Estimated salary range: $175,000 annually.
