About the role

Summer Financial Analysts join Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group in New York, supporting creditor- and debtor-side restructurings, liability management, capital solutions, distressed M&A, and related advisory transactions. The role offers exposure to diverse investment banking products and industries, with substantial responsibility in an aggressive, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Support creditor- and debtor-side restructurings, liability management, capital solutions, and distressed M&A transactions.
• Gain exposure to in- and out-of-court restructurings, financings, exchange offers, tenders, and special situations transactions.
• Work across multiple financial advisory products and industries within the Financial Restructuring business.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, graduating between December 2028 and June 2029.
• Coursework in accounting and finance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications.
• Strong analytical abilities and computer skills, including Excel.
• Ability to work cooperatively with employees at all levels.
