2028 Summer Financial Analyst - Financial Restructuring (Class of 2029) - Minneapolis

About the role

This summer financial analyst internship in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group provides exposure to creditor- and debtor-side restructurings, liability management, capital solutions, distressed M&A, financings, exchange offers, tenders, and special situations. Analysts work across varied transactions and receive substantial responsibility in an entrepreneurial investment banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Work on creditor- and debtor-side restructurings, liability management, capital solutions, and distressed M&A transactions.
• Support in- and out-of-court restructurings, debt and equity financings, exchange offers, tenders, and special situations transactions.
• Gain exposure to varied financial advisory and investment banking products across multiple industries.
• Take on substantial responsibility within an aggressive and entrepreneurial working environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree, graduating between December 2028 and June 2029.
• Coursework in accounting and finance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications.
• Strong analytical abilities and computer skills, including Excel.
• Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff.
