About the role

Summer Financial Analysts join Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group in Los Angeles, supporting creditor- and debtor-side restructurings, liability management, capital solutions, distressed M&A, and related financing transactions. The role offers exposure to financial advisory and investment banking products, varied industries, and substantial responsibility in an entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Support creditor- and debtor-side restructurings, liability management, capital solutions, and distressed M&A transactions.
• Gain exposure to in-court and out-of-court restructurings, debt and equity financings, exchange offers, and tenders.
• Work on distressed M&A advisory and special situations transactions across various industries.
• Assume substantial responsibility in an aggressive and entrepreneurial working environment.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, graduating between December 2028 and June 2029.
• Coursework in accounting and finance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications.
• Strong analytical abilities and computer skills, including Excel.
• Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff.
