About the role

Summer Financial Analyst in Houlihan Lokey’s Chicago Industrials group, supporting investment banking transactions including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity private placements, refinancings, and leveraged buyouts. The role involves financial and market analysis, meaningful responsibility, and interaction with senior professionals. Candidates graduate between December 2028 and June 2029.

Responsibilities

• Support mergers and acquisitions, private placements, refinancings, leveraged buyouts, and related corporate finance transactions.
• Research and analyze financial statements, economic conditions, industry developments, acquisitions, and divestitures.
• Evaluate investment attributes of publicly traded and privately held securities companies.
• Work collaboratively with professionals and interact with senior-level team members.

Required Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with expected graduation between December 2028 and June 2029.
• Foundational knowledge of and strong interest in corporate finance.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across organizational levels.
• Strong work ethic and proven leadership skills.
• Must not currently or prospectively require employment visa sponsorship.
• Complete the required Suited assessment after submitting an application.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to use generative AI tools to improve productivity and streamline workflows.
