About the role

Summer Associate opportunity in Houlihan Lokey’s Los Angeles Business Services Group for MBA candidates graduating in 2028. The role provides exposure to mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, restructurings, private placements, refinancings, and leveraged buyouts, with research, financial analysis, and senior-level interaction.

Responsibilities

• Work on transactions involving mergers and acquisitions, private placements, refinancings, and leveraged buyouts.
• Research and analyze financial statements, economic conditions, industry developments, and acquisitions and divestitures.
• Evaluate investment attributes of publicly traded and privately held securities companies.
• Collaborate with experienced professionals and assume substantial responsibility throughout the summer.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an MBA and graduating in 2028.
• Foundational knowledge of and strong interest in corporate finance.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across organizational levels.
• Strong work ethic and demonstrated leadership skills.
• Fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications preferred.
• Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency, and effective use of generative AI tools, preferred.
