About the role
Join Houlihan Lokey’s Fund Opinions practice as a Financial Analyst in Chicago. You will support complex analytics, financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, research, and fairness or transaction-based opinions across industries and asset classes, collaborating with internal teams and supporting client relationships, presentations, and business development.
The Team
- Work in Fund Opinions, advising on complex analytics, financial models, and valuation across industries and asset classes.
- Collaborate with M&A and industry teams to deliver fairness, transaction-based valuation opinions, and related advisory services.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and explain historical and projected financial information.
- Perform business and financial due diligence.
- Conduct industry, competitor, and subsector research.
- Complete valuations using comparable companies, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow analysis.
- Build Excel financial models assessing company cash flows or valuing specific securities.
- Prepare presentations, support client relationships, and participate in business development initiatives.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
- Strong accounting, finance, financial modeling, and analytical abilities.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, with excellent written and oral communication.
- Strong work ethic, organizational skills, multitasking ability, and comfort working under deadlines.
- Authorized to work for any U.S. employer; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable.
