About the role
This Q2 2027 off-cycle internship in Frankfurt places you within Houlihan Lokey’s Industrials Corporate Finance team. You will support pitch and client materials, perform market, industry, and company analysis, build financial models, conduct valuation work, assist due diligence, and contribute to live buy-side and sell-side transactions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare pitch books and other client materials for Corporate Finance advisory assignments.
- Conduct market, industry, and company analyses focused on the Industrials sector.
- Develop financial models and perform valuation analyses using relevant methodologies.
- Support due diligence processes for buy-side and sell-side transactions.
- Work collaboratively on project teams executing live client transactions.
Role Exposure
- Gain meaningful on-the-job experience with exposure comparable to a first-year Analyst.
- Develop Industrials-focused sector expertise across M&A advisory, capital raising, restructuring, and valuation.
- Work with senior professionals on client projects in a demanding, rapidly changing environment.
Requirements
- Be in the penultimate or final year of a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- Have an outstanding academic record; accounting, economics, or finance studies are preferred.
- Demonstrate fluent German and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have previous internship experience in M&A advisory or related fields.
- Understand valuation theory, methodologies, and applications, with strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Work effectively under pressure with attention to detail and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in or interest in the Industrials sector.
- Additional language skills.
- International experience and the ability to work cooperatively with all staff levels.
