About the role

Houlihan Lokey’s Primary Capital Advisory team in Paris offers an off-cycle internship focused on private equity fundraising and fund placement advisory. Interns support client positioning, marketing materials, investor tracking, due diligence, pitches, and mandate selection. The role suits candidates with relevant fundraising, investment banking, or transaction services experience and strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

About the Team

  • Primary Capital Advisory advises clients on third-party fund placement and private equity fundraising.
  • The team comprises more than 40 professionals across six offices in the United States and Europe.
  • The team has collectively worked on more than 300 fundraises since 2010.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on positioning alternative asset brands for sustained competitive advantage.
  • Produce investor presentations, DDQs, and other core fund marketing materials with bespoke analyses.
  • Manage fundraising processes, including investor tracking and client communications.
  • Prepare due diligence materials responding to potential fund investor inquiries.
  • Support new business origination through client meetings, pitch materials, and associated analyses.
  • Conduct extensive due diligence to support new mandate selection through the internal review process.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience may include private equity fundraising, investor relations, investment banking, or transaction services.
  • Currently enrolled in a master’s program focused on finance, accounting, or management is preferred.
  • High attention to detail and a strong understanding of private equity fundamentals are preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, deal structures, investor requirements, and competitive landscapes is preferred.
