6-Month Off-Cycle Intern - Capital Solutions, Secondary Advisory (January 2027)

About the role

Six-month off-cycle internship in Houlihan Lokey’s Capital Solutions, Secondaries Advisory Group in Paris, beginning January 2027. The intern will support LP-led and GP-led private equity secondary transactions, including financing analysis, marketing materials, buyer diligence, transaction coordination, and execution, while working with senior professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluating and structuring customized financing alternatives for sponsors, institutional investors, and portfolio companies.
• Participate on deal teams from the initial pitch through transaction closing.
• Prepare marketing materials and buyer diligence materials for LP-led and GP-led secondary transactions.
• Manage virtual data rooms, track buyer interactions, and support client communications.
• Coordinate buyer due diligence during competitive auction processes.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a finance or management Master’s program at a top-tier business school or university.
• Experience in private equity, investment banking, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills, data-driven problem-solving ability, and high attention to detail.
• Proactive, resourceful, organized, and able to solve problems independently with senior-team support.
• Able to multitask and coordinate multiple projects effectively.
• Strong understanding of private equity fundamentals, including market dynamics, deal structures, and competitive landscapes.
